A rocha contem fenocristais de plagioclásio de até 2 mm de tamanho e fenocristais menores de minerais máficos, envolvidos e circundados por uma matriz félsica microcristalina, de estrutura fluidal. Os fenocristais de plagioclásio são subdiomórficos e recobertos por epidoto e sericita. Os fenocristais máficos são representados por pequenos opacos e por agregados de biotita + clorita + epidoto + opacos pseudomórficos sobre antigos fenocristais de biotita ou anfibólio. A matriz é essencialmente quartzo-feldspática, sacaróide, com pontuações de opacos, biotita, sericita, epidoto e clorita dispersas e também alinhadas segundo o fluxo. Longas lentes de quartzo são comuns e também se orientam na direção do fluxo.",
