Rocha de textura inequigranular, com cristais de tamanho médio-grosso (até 6 mm) de microclínio, cercados por uma massa de cristais menores de plagioclásio, quartzo e minerais máficos. O microclínio é finamente pertítico, possui maclas do tipo Carlsbad e varia de subidiomórfico a xenomórfico. Os plagioclásios são em geral idiomórficos, maclados, zonados, com o núcleo alterado em epidoto e sericita. O quartzo é xenomórfico, em geral desintegrado. Os máficos são idiomórficos, representados por hornblenda, biotita marron a verde-marron localmente cloritizada, opacos, titanitas bem desenvolvidas, apatita, zircão e ainda alguns raros restos de clinopiroxênio contidos nas hornblendas.\r\n\r\n",
