Rocha de textura granular média, composta por cristais de 1-2 mm de tamanho de plagioclásio andesínico (An34) fortemente zonado; cristais poiquilíticos de hornblenda geralmente envolvendo restos de clino e, mais raramente, de ortopiroxênio; grandes placas de biotita poiquilítica; e quartzo intersticial. Os plagioclásios geralmente contém diminutas inclusões de piroxênio, hornblenda e opacos no seu interior e mostram alteração leve para sericita e epidoto. A biotita mostra segregações de rutilo nas bordas e clivagens. Os piroxênios, além da transformação marginal em hornblenda, alteram-se para opacos, tremolita-actinolita e cummingtonita.\r\n\r\n",
