Rocha formada por 40% de fenocristais, idiomórficos, de até 2 mm de tamanho, de plagioclásio, biotita cloritizada, hornblenda, quartzo e opacos, cercados por uma matriz félsica microgranular, composta por feldspato alcalino e quartzo, geralmente intercrescidos em arranjos micrográficos, plagioclásio, e minerais máficos dispersos, como clorita, apatita, titanita, epidoto e opacos. Os fenocristais de plagioclásio são fortemente zonados e possuem o núcleo alterado para epidoto, argilo-minerais e sericita. Um agregado de mais de 1 cm de tamanho de pequenos cristais de plagioclásio (textura synneusis?) pode ser também observado.",
