Cachoeira com camadas inclinadas para leste, reflexo dos movimentos ocorridos no Brasiliano.
A Cachoeira da Farofa está encaixada em quartzito da Formação Galho do Miguel cortado por famílias de fraturas. As camadas das rochas estão inclinadas para o leste, sendo associadas às falhas de empurrão do Ciclo Brasiliano, que movem as rochas de leste para oeste.

The Farofa Waterfall is set in quartzite of the Galho do Miguel Formation, intersected by fracture families. The rock layers dip eastward, associated with thrust faults from the Brasiliano Cycle, which moved the rocks from east to west.

Meandros abandonados são curvas de rios isoladas por erosão e sedimentação, formando lagoas em meia-lua. Os rios estão em uma constante dinâmica de mudança e rearranjo de seus trajetos, contudo essa mudança é lenta e gradual, levando centenas de anos para se modificarem. Sendo assim, esses meandros abandonados que vemos na foto são vestígios de uma dinâmica e um trajeto antigo que o rio cipó não tem mais.

No Morro da Pedreira é um geossítio importante, nele, os mármores da Formação Sete Lagoas afloram e é possível observar dobras, veios de calcita, falhas e outras estruturas geológicas relacionadas ao Ciclo Brasiliano. An old quarry, widely used by climbers, where geological and karst features in the marble outcropping at the site can be observed. Morro da Pedreira is an important geosite, where the marbles of the Sete Lagoas Formation outcrop, and folds, calcite veins, faults, and other geological structures related to the Brasiliano Orogeny can be seen. With trails, viewpoints, and over 700 climbing routes, the site also features karst structures such as lapiez, karren, among others.

O Canyon é um vale encaixado, profundo e estreito, do ribeirão Bandeirinha, afluente do rio Mascates. Este vale é bem estreito com pouco espaço entre as duas bordas, composto por um paredão rochoso de quartzitos da Formação Galho do Miguel, que tem sua origem em ambiente eólico.


The canyon is a deep, narrow, and confined valley of the Bandeirinha Stream, a tributary of the Mascates River. A pedreira, composta por mármore da Formação Sete Lagoas em tons de bege, cinza e marrom, é um excelente local para observar dobras e um mirante para ver o contato entre os quartzitos do Supergrupo Espinhaço e os mármores do Grupo Bambuí.
